About Laura Yap

I have almost 4½ decades of travel consultancy experience – over two decades in Auckland and the rest in Malaysia.

I have travelled extensively to six different continents, either on my own personal holidays or escorting group tours. South East Asia is one of my specialty areas and another is Catholic pilgrimages which have taken us to Israel, Jordan, Europe and South America. I also welcome private and special interest groups.

New Zealand has been my home for over 30 years. During this time, I have worked in wholesale consultancy/inbound operations and been a Senior Consultant for the last 14 years.

I like to pride myself as one of the best Malaysian-born travel agents in Auckland. I have used my extensive knowledge to create a special-interest group called “Friends of Malaysia”. Through this group, I keep all of my clients and friends informed on the latest airline deals and travel opportunities, not just for Malaysia but for all over the world.
